If we’ve learned anything about our country over the past few months, it’s that the leadership we want in Washington starts in our own communities. We’ve also learned in Illinois that special interests can isolate our leaders and only the grassroots keep us grounded. This campaign will be successful if individuals come together on its behalf. Where we raise our children, go to work and enjoy friendships is not about geography, but about our shared values. We seek leaders who reflect those values. That’s why I’m running for Congress.
